I recently noted AC/DC’s Malcolm Young’s passing. My friend, and major AC/DC fan, Tim pointed out that I overlooked the passing of his older brother George last month. Somehow I missed that one, so let me make up for it.
George Young co-founded the Australian beat group, the Easybeats, . . .
. . . before forming a songwriting and production partnership with fellow Easybeat Harry Vanda. Among many others, they produced the early recordings of the band formed by George’s brothers, Malcolm and Angus, AC/DC.
In 1976, Young again stepped in front of the mic as Flash and the Pan, again with Vanda, . . .
. . . while comtinuing to record others until he retired from music in the 1990s.
